What happens at the dealer.

A suppressor can't ship to your door — it transfers in person at an SOT dealer. You pick that dealer at checkout, the same way you'd pick an FFL for a gun. Here's what happens on their end.

01Your can arrives at your dealer. We ship it to the SOT dealer you picked at checkout. It goes on their books and stays in their safe through your approval — that's where the law says it waits.

02Paperwork happens there. Fingerprints, photo, and the Form 4 filing all run through your dealer. Most shops digitize prints in a few minutes while you wait.

03Approval day. Your dealer calls, you bring a government photo ID, fill out the Form 4473, and take your suppressor home. Their transfer fee, if any, is paid to them at pickup.

Picking a dealer

Any SOT dealer near you works. Worth a quick call before you order: ask what they charge for a Form 4 transfer (commonly $50–150) and whether they do digital fingerprints in-house — it saves a trip.
