Privacy

Your privacy, plainly.

This policy explains what personal information Southern Armory Group collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain English — no dark patterns, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to take your order, ship it to your dealer, keep you posted, and stay on the right side of the law.

Contact detailsYour name, email address, phone number, and shipping address.
Order detailsThe items you buy, your receiving dealer, order and transfer status, and related correspondence.
Newsletter sign-upsThe email address you give us when you subscribe to our list, and whether you have opted in.
Site usageBasic technical and browsing data — pages viewed, device and browser type — gathered through cookies and onsite scripts.
Payment detailsHandled entirely by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation and the last few digits of your card — never the full number.

How we use it

We use your information to process and fulfill orders, arrange the transfer to your chosen dealer, verify eligibility and compliance, send order and transfer updates, respond to your questions, prevent fraud and abuse, and — only if you opt in — send you marketing email. We do not use your information for anything you would not reasonably expect from a firearms retailer taking your order.

Payments

We never see your full card number. Payments are processed by a third-party, PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. Your card details travel directly to that provider over an encrypted connection — Southern Armory Group does not store, and cannot see, your full card or bank account numbers.

Email & marketing

Our newsletter and marketing email are handled by Klaviyo, our email and marketing processor. When you subscribe, your email address and subscription status are stored with Klaviyo so we can send you new inventory and straight-answer guides. Marketing email is opt-in — you choose to join. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, and we will stop sending marketing email promptly. Transaction and transfer-status messages about an order you placed are not marketing and are sent regardless of your marketing preference.

Cookies & onsite tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Klaviyo's onsite JavaScript runs on our pages to support the newsletter and to recognize returning subscribers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site — like checkout — may not work correctly without them.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make the store run: Klaviyo (email and marketing), our data host (which securely stores order and account data), our payment processor, and the carriers and fulfillment partners that move your order. We also share your details with the licensed dealer you select to receive your firearm, so they can complete your transfer. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

We do not sell your data

Southern Armory Group does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Full stop.

Firearm purchase records

4473 records are separate from this policy. When you complete a firearm transfer, the transferring dealer records it on an ATF Form 4473 and retains that record as federal law requires. Those records are maintained by the transferring FFL under federal recordkeeping rules — they are held separately from, and are not governed by, this website privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Security

We use encrypted connections and reputable, access-controlled service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to those who need it to serve you.

Children

This site is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 to purchase long guns and long-gun ammunition and at least 21 to purchase handguns, handgun ammunition, and NFA items, subject to your state and local law. The site is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act — you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that front, but you are still welcome to exercise your other rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so. To make a request, email dylan@southernarmorygroup.com and we will verify your identity before we act on it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business, tools, or the law change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
