X-Bolt Speed models have a well-earned reputation as reliable straight-shooting hunting rifles. The lengths of the fluted sporter contour barrels have been optimized and run 2 longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 26 ) for added bullet velocities. The muzzle is belled to accommodate the larger 5/8 -24 suppressor-ready threading. A radial muzzle brake and thread protector cap are included. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. The barrel specifications make this rifle an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions.
